Footnotes Linkup
I don't know if any of you remember Starting Sparks. I do! It was a really fun linkup created by the awe inspiring Emily and the ever clever Ashley they have created a new linkup called Footnotes. As you can tell by the lovely graphic above.
They decided to start easy with this one. Basically you post an Author Quote and why. Join up, I want to read everyone else s posts.
I feel like my reasons for posting this quote should be fairly obvious.
It's also just my round about way of saying read 'Howl's Moving Castle' it is one of the best books. You will not regret it! Also that Howl is just amazing.

Hey, I would read it from that description. (But I already have)
ReplyDeleteWell I'm glad it would have convinced you. Did you like it?
DeleteYES TO ALL OF THISSSS. HOOOOOOWL. <333333333 I think Diana Wynne Jones was genuinely surprised we ALL wanted to marry Howl. XD He's so rotten but...HOWL. You HAVE to love him, it's impossible not to!
ReplyDeleteAlso that picture of the description of the book is priceless. Pretty much sums it up. *strikes Boromir pose* One does not simply explain a Diana Wynne Jones book.
YES I AGREE!!! Rotten but somehow still amazing, it is impossible!
DeleteI thought so too, I have always had a tough time explaining it. Lovely use of a Boromir quote!
So true her books are so layered.
LOL, YES! Howl's Moving Castle is amazing!

:D It definitely is!
DeleteI feel like by that one quote I should probably read this book. Anyone who it's strange that everyone wants to marry him is definitely worth investigating.
ReplyDeleteYou should! I can not recommend it enough. He is one of my top favorite characters!
DeleteIt's a very good book and film.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I don't think Diana Wynne Jones got the credit she deserves for her stories.
DeleteHaha! I have never heard that. XD I guess I'll really have to read the book now. Actually I try to see if I can find it at the library tomorrow. I went to visit my family, and my mom asked me to stay an extra week to watch my siblings while she and my dad travel. So now we have to go to the library because I brought enough books for only a week, not two!
ReplyDeleteYou have to read it! I think you will love it, its one of those odd and unique stories. I hope you were able to find it. I know what that's like, me and my siblings tend to have a blast when my parents leave for a bit.
DeleteThe struggle is real, thank goodness for libraries!
:D
That whole quote thing sounds like fun. And I loved reading your quote even though I've never read Howl's Moving Castle. I've seen clips for the movie, though. At least, I think there was a movie. Lol, I don't know.
ReplyDeleteNice blog. I love your header.

It is fun, you should do it too. It's a really good book. There is a movie, but the book is better.
DeleteThank you so much!
You're welcome. I don't know the bloggers who are doing the link up, so I'm not sure if I'll do it. But thanks, anyway. :)
Deleteiviewrites.blogspot.com
It's open to anyone, I linked their blogs with their names in this post. They are both super nice, and will probably check out your post if you do decide to do it.
DeleteNo problem :)
Okay, then. I might just do it. Thank you. Also, thanks for the follow. That means a lot to me. :D

AHH YES I LOVE HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE! I love Howl but I might love Calcifer even a little bit more. Any character that can make me literally laugh out loud is deemed a winner in my heart. :P

It's so good right! Calcifer is awesome too, he is really funny.
DeleteI had no clue that Howl's Moving Castle was a book until recently - is it anything like the movie at all! I think I'll have to try this link up! :)
ReplyDeleteParts are very similar to the movie, they really are two different beasts. I prefer the book, it's way more humorous and Howl himself is simply better. I love the movie too though.
DeleteI saw your post, glad you decided to join up :)
Really! I don't see much about it, but I think it does have a bit of a cult following. If your not sure, it makes for a great re read either way. That might be Fire and Hemlock, I'm not sure. It sounds familiar, I love the way she describes things. Sums up my hair in a way too. I would recommend it!
ReplyDeleteIt's always a blast <3
I really liked that one!
