Fall is upon us, or has happened,or something.
I am loving it, the bite in the air. The orange and red colors, drinking lots of coffee and tea. Wearing fuzzy socks and oversized sweaters its bliss. Autumn is my aesthetic.
Starting to read more spooky books and watch some creepy shows. Waiting anxiously for the next season of Stranger Things.
So I had gotten a lot of books for my birthday. I might have given them a short list.
I am so excited for these! The only one I have read is Eliza And Her Monsters. I started Stalking Jack the Ripper, and besides it shoveling all the feminism stuff down your throat, I am intrigued.
As for Eliza And Her Monsters , I loved it!
Eliza was a very relatable character, Who is the anonymous creator of a extremely popular web comic. She is incredibly introverted and most of her life is online, she is basically me. It got deep in parts and I actually cried at one part. The art was gorgeous and I enjoyed the bits of her comic throughout.
All in all, a great read. It has language and kissing and deals with things like suicide.
I also have a few e-reads waiting for my attention.
I can't wait to read all them!
How about you guys? Any good books or shows I should know about.
Cool! I love book hauls. And Autumn. Writing in Autumn seems to be natural. I might have to look into these books. <3

Me too! It does, makes it more appealing or something.
DeleteYou should. <3
I liked Eliza and her Monsters! It had a little too much language for my liking, but I still REALLY enjoyed it. 100% Relatable.
ReplyDeleteOh you read it, it was really good. There was a bit too much for me too.
DeleteDefinitely!
I can't wait to see season 2 of Stranger Things!!! I hope it's as awesome as the first. :D (Also, I find it amusing that everyone is talking about autumn and I'm sitting here like "Uhhhh it's spring...?" Southern Hemisphere problems.) xD
ReplyDeleteMe either, I hope they don't wreck it.
DeleteThat is pretty funny, it's almost snowing where I am.
XD
FALL. BOOKS. STRANGER THINGS. All my favorite things!
ReplyDeleteI adore fall so much. Except...it like 90 degree F here and feels nothing like fall yet. >.> But hopefully it'll come...eventually. I've never read any of these books (except for The Beast of Talesend which I loooooved), but they all look really good! Eliza and her Monsters especially looks super cute!
I hope you have a lovely fall full of reading! <3
Yay, glad someone shares my love for these things.
DeleteIt's my favorite season. He he, I keep forgetting that it's warm in other places. I have read a few chapters of that one, I love it so far. It is cute!
You too <3
Everyone keeps talking about Stranger Things and I'm like, "Why can't I watch this? I want to watch this!" *Sherlock sulks*
ReplyDelete*ahem*
Huh, so I've seen the Eliza book all over insta, as it is quite photogenic. But I never knew what it was about. It sounds really interesting now! I might have to give it a try. Also, THIS SAVAGE SONG! You'll have to tell me how you like it! I really, really want to read it, but yeah, haven't yet.
Love autumn! It's my favorite. I've realized that most of my WIPs begin in the fall? And I didn't really do that on purpose. It just sorta happened. As for reading, I've mostly been reading for school. But I'm also trying to finish The Earthsea trilogy which is really good. I finally finished Percy Jackson and the Olympians! Always good, of course. And I recently started The Murder Complex by Lindsey Cummings. I'm only about fifty pages in, but so far loving it!
Also, happy very belated b-day! :)
Why can't you watch it? Do you have Netflix because I think it's on there? *Sherlock sulking is hilarious*
DeleteIt is! I didn't either, but I'm glad I gave it a shot. I am so excited for that one. I haven't read it yet. I will!
Same, it's a great season to use. I love books that are set in Autumn. Oh I haven't heard of that one. I am on the last book of that series. Sounds like a good read!
Thanks! :D
Oh my goodness, there are so many good books on here! I REALLY WANT TO READ ELIZA AND HER MONSTERS. o.o That's on my tbr so I just need to get it from the library. So many people have been raving about it lately. :D
ReplyDelete:D You should, I really liked it. It's a great read and has a sweet romance.
DeleteIt was really cool, she's also an introvert which was nice to see. Me too! I haven't but it's been on my tbr for a while.
ReplyDeleteoh, I love "Eliza and Her Monsters"! I haven't heard of the other books on your tbr...so great, more for mine! haha:) right now I'm reading "The Leaving" which is really good. It's about six little kids who mysteriously disappear, and then return to their town eleven years later with no memories of what has happened.
ReplyDeleteIt's so good! Well good, I think they are all going to be pretty good.
DeleteThat sounds so interesting I think I will have to check it out.
Fall is ever so lovely!!! Oooh, Eliza and Her Monsters sounds interesting. I hadn't heard of it, but I think I'll add it to the TBR.
ReplyDeleteI just finished Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard and am reading Once and for All by Sarah Dessen. Both are pretty good overall, the writing and characters being the strongest points of both.

It it! It is really good, you should.
DeleteI have been meaning to read Red Queen for awhile now, I should add it to my list.
Well, well, look who's late to the party. Heh, oops. I could say that I love autumn, which I do regardless of the current season, but it's also no longer autumn. XD Ah, oh well.
ReplyDelete*sigh* I have a lot of catching up to do.
That book haul is amazing! I keep seeing that Eliza and her monsters everywhere on instagram and bookstores (so since it's winter break from school (it starts back next week :'( someone save me!) I'll leave the house and go wander a bookstore for three hours XD). I wasn't too sure about it, but if you liked it, then I might just give it a try. That cover is sooooo gorgeous though!
And let me know how you like This Savage Song whenever you read. I really, really want to read that one and it's, yeah, it's on the TBR. . . somewhere.
Nothing wrong with that. You could say it anyway :D
DeleteI hope you don't feel like you have to, I know what its like to get behind on blogs and sometimes your better off to just skip to the most current one.
Thanks! It's really good. I highly recommend, the cover was what made me pick it up in the first place.
I started it, but then ended up leaving it behind when I went home for the holidays. I will most likely write a review for it.
