The 12 Books of Christmas Tag

Seems fitting to be posting this on Christmas Eve. I hope all of you are enjoying the holidays and have a fantastic Christmas.

 1. A Partridge in a Pear Tree -- book that involves agriculture 



The Secret Garden is the first thing that popped into my head. Made me want to have my own garden.

 2. Turtledoves -- book about a long-lasting relationship 

Partners in Crime- Agatha Christie 

3. French Hens -- book that takes place in France 

Enchantee by Gita Trelease not a favorite of mine, but I did like the descriptions.

4. Calling Birds -- book where people talk on the phone 

I think Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell has some phonecalls in it. 

5. Golden Rings -- book with multiple romances 
  
To All the Boys I Loved Before by Jenny Han 

6. Geese A-laying -- book with a birth or that features babies 

Castle is in the Air by Diana Wynne Jones ( I mean techinaclly Sophie gives birth as a cat, I still think it counts)

7. Swans A-swimming -- book where someone goes swimming 

I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith

8. Maids A-milking -- book with cows

Any of the Little House books
 
9. Ladies Dancing -- book with a dance scene 

Wildwood Dancing by Juliet Marillier

10. Lords A-leaping -- book about athletes 

I'll be There by Jenny B. Jones

11. Pipers Piping -- book with someone playing a musical instrument 

There you'll Find Me by Jenny B. Jones

12. Drummers Drumming -- book with characters in the military

The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making by Catherynne M. Valente (September's Dad is fighting in the war)

  1. Ooh, great choices! When I read The Secret Garden I definitely wanted a garden, too. Then I discovered that gardening is.....not my strength. At all.
    I really need to read some of Diana Wynne Jones' books. Everyone keeps recommending them.

  5. Secret garden is part of my childhood. Very fond of that story. :)
    I spend too much time doing this tag in my head and failing. XD I don't remember a lot of stories with those things in them or happening.
