Honestea Tag

Nie created this fantastic tag. I love that some of the questions are actually hard to answer cuz it's embarrassing had a blast with this one.  You guys should check out her blog, it's stunning and incredibly aesthetic, she's also a great writer.

The Rules (shamelessly copied from Nie's blog)

no lies allowed. if an answer is too shameful to expose you may substitute the answer with a gif/image of someone drinking tea.
e. g. →
there are optional bonus additions to questions but these are not for the faint of heart. if you complete the tag having answered every question + the bonus additions (no gifs used), you are dubbed a certified tea chugger, and you deserve a badge to show the world that you are not afraid of a steaming hot cup of TRUTH. tag at least one other person (a tea party with just one is not very fun. trust me.) untagged persons are more than welcome to fill it out as well (nothing cooler than crashing a tea party).

Onto the tea

what is a 'bad' (generally disliked) movie that you actually love?

The Mortal Instruments. Hands down, I love this movie, are there problems, yes, but it has a fantastic cast. And I love the gothic aesthetic it has, and I quote it a surprising amount. I'm also not even in this fandom I've read 1 and a half books.

what is your most shocking reading habit?

I have some bad ones, I eat, dog-ear, and take books in the bath. And annotate.

I know, I'm a monster. I'm not going to apologize.

tell us the number one lie you write in your posts.

Not to steal, but anything about writing is usually a bit skewed because I procrastinate. I'll be like I've been writing and it's like two sentences and a grocery list.

tell us the worst character name you've ever thought up. {bonus: share a character name you find ridiculous in a book/movie}

Saber, you know like a sword ( And cuz it meant sharp or something.) hmmm Peeta (especially if you consider the ship name people used. That was a cursed time)

what is the real reason you procrastinate writing your work in progress?

I'm a bit of a perfectionist. I'm always wanting it to be better and overwork what I do write to death.

what is a genre of music you secretly love?

Bardcore and hyperpop. Don't ask

if you're a plotter, what do you really think of pansters? and if you're a panster, what do you really think of plotters?

I'm a panster and think plotters are probably more clever than me. I wish I could plan more but I'm a mood writer.

share at least three lines of dialogue from one of your first writing projects {bonus: give us the good stuff. your most gruesome butchering of the English language)

Saber could hear a slight hiss almost right beside him.

Refusing to give into fear, Saber peered warily at the grass, ready to spring up when his enemy found him. Saber sat silently. Seconds ticked by but seemed like hours.

( I love that every sentence uses his name, if I took shots while trying to read this I'd be dead by chapter two)

tell us the title & artist of the last song you listened to.

Him - Harry Styles (from the leaked album)

which beloved book/movie character do you dislike & why?

Ooo um, Captain America. I didn't mind him at first but he's incredibly self-righteous and just rubs me the wrong way.

tell us the title & topic of a post you have left in draft.

K-dramas Are Ruining My Life

and what do you know they still are. I think I was going to recommend some and try to help newbies wade through the insanity that is dramaland, will probably still do this one. But include Chinese, Japanese, and Thai dramas.

what is a book you pretend you've read/would like to read but know you never will? {bonus: share a time when claiming you've read a classic/well-known book didn't end well}

Hamlet probably, I still have only read snatches of Shakespeare. I must've done this at least once but I can't recall. I honestly have no problem sharing it, just have the brain of a squirrel.

tell us the title & topic of the most embarrassing post you've ever written. {bonus: include. the. link.}

*gestures at my whole blog* but specifically this post, because I have read this book since and it wasn't good nor worthy of five stars. I don't know what I was on at the time. Crack possibly.

I tag Samantha, Ivy, Nicki,  Mckayla, Christine, and anyone else who wants to.

  1. "I'll be like I've been writing and it's like two sentences and a grocery list." Lol, I've done that with the stuff. Especially like for school. I wrote some of that essay now I deserve a break.

I had to look up Peeta and Katniss ship name. I think the majority went with Everlark. I don't think the other options were serious. I just thought Peeta was dumb, because why not just use Peter. And Katniss just sounds dumb. However, I do ship them.

I'm going to have to steal this tag, it looks fun.

    1. XD Yeah, it's like that's half a paragraph I deserve a cookie.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was a joke, but I did see some people use it and yeah.
Yeah their names aren't great but I love Haymitch so.

You should! I'd love to read your answers.

  2. What a fun-looking tag! Thanks for passing it onto me, I think I'll have fun answering it!

Wow, I was with you on bad bookish habits up until "take books in the bath". I'd love to do that, but I think I'd be too scared I'd drop it in...I can be a bit of a klutz on occasion.

Captain America rubs me the wrong way a bit in the later Marvel films, too! (I like him early on, but by Infinity War? Meh.)

    1. Thanks! Can't wait to read it.
It's a terrible habit. Yeah you have to be really careful.
I agree! (Yeah, I liked him in his first few movies.)

  3. Oh my goodness, this tag is ridiculously fun looking! I loved seeing all your answers!

"I'll be like I've been writing and it's like two sentences and a grocery list." #MOOD The struggle is REAL and I make no judgments. Also, not gonna like, I kind of think Saber is a pretty cool name. XD

Thank you so much for tagging me! :D

I wish I could say it's gotten better, but no. XD Glad you like it, it's not the worst I've come up with.

  4. I'm so flattered thank you for all the nice things you said, Skye!! as I told Brooke, I am having wayyyy too much fun reading your guys' answers. I laughed several times reading this. your answers are just hilarious hehe.
what you do to books is CRIMINAL but you are forgiven because a well worn book means it's well loved.
oooh over using character's names was a writing habit I had too! as well as being overly descriptive about the most insignificant things.
finally someone who sees captain america for what he is. a dweeb. but what can I say, I'm probably one too.
thank you so much for participating!

    1. I meant every word, your blog is one of my favorites! It is fun seeing everyone's. I'm glad it made you laugh.
I know I used to be so careful with them, but I agree. I like a well worn book.
It's an awful one, glad I kinda got over it. I was definitely guilty of that too.
He is in fact a dweeb. But same. XD
      Thanks for tagging me!

  6. Thanks for tagging me! Loved reading your answers. I've never watched The Mortal Instruments, but the "my hair's naturally blonde" line made me laugh.
Ugh, same on the perfectionism. It's so hard for me to realize if I'm good at something if I'm not the best.

    1. No problem! Thank you. You should it's an incredibly fun movie. One of my favorite lines.
It's the worst and so hard to work through.

  7. I LOVE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS AS WELL <3 I know so many people hate it, but it's such an enjoyable, almost comfort film for me (which sounds weird but that's the best way I can describe it haha). And THE CAST. So many actors I already knew, and they all did fantastic jobs in their roles. I can never see anyone else playing any of them (which is why I've yet to watch the TV series, even though I was a part of the book fandom).

    1. YAY! A fellow fan <333 I don't understand why, especially if they like the show better, the only improvement there was Alec's casting in my opinion. Same it's definitely a comfort film. I get that. It's a fantastic cast, few books get better.
Me either, I wish it was them in the tv show.

  8. The Mortal Instruments movie is fantastic.
I still can't get over that we both did the 'name a character after a weapon because it's clever or something' XD
I love that Hamlet was your answer. I remember watching Ophelia and you waited the whole movie for the 'get thee to a nunnery line'. So it's funny to me that Hamlet is the Shakespeare one that you mentioned.

    1. Agreed!
A terrible trait to share. XD
I'm a fraud, the only reason I knew that line was from veggie tales.
      Yeah XD

  10. I dog-ear once in a while. I read in the bath on the rare occasions when I take a bath instead of a shower. When I was a teen, I took books in the shower, sorta. I definitely underline and annotate.

Now I'm curious about Bardcore. Is it Shakespeare set to metal? Or is it metal set to Shakespeare? Is it like Post-Modern Jukebox?

So funny that your thoughts on a book changed so much! That does happen to me once in a while too, though. Usually the opposite way, though -- a book I didn't like ends up being one I do like, years later.

If you ever want someone to cheer you on through Hamlet, I'm your girl ;-)

    1. Glad I'm not the only one. I imagine that would be harder. Annotating is fun.
It's basically popular songs rewritten in old English style, it's quite funny.
I know I was surprised. I've had that too, I prefer that.
I'm going to do it, I appreciate it. :D
